What’s your name, company name, job title, and segment your business serves?

Hi! I’m Katlyn Goff, CERP, and I’m the newest Store Manager at Purdon Rental in Lexington, Kentucky. We have been serving the Party segment in our community for nearly 50 years.

How long have you or your company been involved with ARA and the YPN?

Purdon Rental has been with the ARA since sometime in the 80’s, and the owner has been involved in the ARA YPN since it began. I recently became a member of the YPN and attended my first YP Conference in January in San Antonio. After the success of the conference, I then decided I wanted to make a larger difference and have now joined the ARA of KY State Board!

What do you find most beneficial about being involved in the ARA YPN?

My favorite part of the ARA YPN is the opportunity to meet and network with other individuals in the rental industry.

Tell us about your role as a new YP on the KY board!

So far it’s been a great experience and I hope to continue the progress that the board has been making over the last few years. My ultimate goal is to help plan and develop new content and training that would help increase participation and membership within the state.

How are you navigating the challenges of managing a newly acquired event rental store?

I’m excited to see what the future holds! The Purdon brand has been established in our community for nearly 50 years. The current owners have nearly 40 years experience in the industry which has led to a smooth transition for both the staff and customers.
