Robert (Bob) Lee Vermeer, 78, Pella, Iowa, died Aug. 17, 2022. Vermeer, and his brother, Stan, and sister, Mary, grew up on a family farm near Pella, where their father, Gary, founded and built Vermeer, a manufacturer of industrial and agricultural machines, including trenchers.

Paul Burkholder of McClelland Marketing has joined the ARA of Iowa board of directors as associate member director. Having influenced today’s ARA state chapter president to get involved in the association a decade ago, Burkholder says he loves how it has come back “full circle” for him.

Equipment rental operators gathered in Spencer, Iowa, on April 7 to receive the latest guidelines directly from an officer of the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT).

This past summer, the ARA of Iowa summer social returned to Adventureland, where participants had a “fun-filled day” on Sunday, Aug. 8.
