Dave Hehr, president, Contractor Solutions Trench Shoring, Des Moines, Iowa, has taken on the role of president for the ARA of Iowa. Hehr, who joined the ARA of Iowa board of directors in 2018, succeeds Joe Cox, manager, Capital City Equipment Co., Des Moines.
Hehr, who established Contractor Solutions Trench Shoring in 2006 after years of experience working in horizontal directional drilling and trench boxes, is eager to use his leadership position in the state chapter to shine a light on the many benefits that come with American Rental Association (ARA) membership.
“As president of the ARA of Iowa, my goal is to help fellow rental owners make sure we are taking advantage of the ARA programs and trainings that are offered to members,” Hehr says. “When I initially joined ARA in 2006, it was to take advantage of ARA Insurance; however, there are so many other safety trainings and programs that ARA offers its members, like the recently launched ARA Job Board, which helps with the recruitment and hiring of new employees. It would be great to make sure our members are educated in these programs and how they could benefit their companies for future growth.”
