ARA announces results of national board vote

Following are the members who will join the American Rental Association (ARA) board of directors in 2023.

ARA president-elect Jeff Crotto, CERP, president, All About Events – Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Fla.

	ARA associate member director Larry Ott, Northeast sales representative for the Commercial Tent Division, Rainier Industries, Tukwila, Wash.
	ARA Region One director Sarah Wilper, director, Mazzotta Equipment Rentals, Middletown, Conn.

ARA Region Four director Angela Nussel, CERP, administrative vice president, Premiere Events, Austin, Texas

ARA Region Five director Robert Copley, CERP, sales manager, Event Essentials, Windsor, Wis.

“The ARA board is a supercharged group of passionate rental professionals that see value in giving back to our industry. In order to represent the needs of rental operators and shape programs that benefit the industry we replace a third of the board every year. Candidates for the open seats are evaluated against criteria that is developed by the board. It’s a difficult process but the leadership development committee takes this very seriously as they are evaluating their peers to select those that are best positioned to advance our key strategic initiatives.” said Tony Conant, ARA CEO.

Current president-elect Steve Mau, who will assume the office of president in 2023, has named Dan Farrell, to the board position of Event Rental Shared Interest Group (SIG) chair to represent that ARA member segment for a three-year term. Farrell is general manager of Marquee Event Rentals, in Kansas City, Kan., an ARA member since 2013.

Mau also has appointed two ARA board members to serve a one-year term on the 2023-2024 Executive Committee. Appointed to serve are John Jeanguenat, Equipment Rental SIG co-chair and Brian Richardson, ARA Region Two director.

Jeanguenat who has served on the ARA Board of Directors since 2021, is president of Rental Max, Carol Stream, Ill. Richardson who has served on the ARA Board of Directors since 2022, is president of L & A Tent Rentals in Trenton, N.J. Jeanguenat and Richardson will join Mau and Crotto on the Executive Committee, along with current president Scott Irwin who assumes the board chair position in 2023.

The following officer and directors will complete their terms on the board in the spring of 2023:

• Bryce Puckett, ARA Region Four director and general manager, Kirby Smith Machinery, Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, Texas
• Dean Miller, CERP, ARA Region Five director and owner, Miller’s Party Rental Center, Akron, Ohio
• Delores Crum, CERP, ARA Event Rental SIG chair and president, Premiere Events, Austin, Texas
