American Rentals opens new, larger location in Orange County

American Rentals recently opened a new branch location in Stanton, Calif., enabling the company to further its reach and better serve contractors throughout Orange County in Southern California.

“This new location is three times the size of our old location in Cypress. The new branch is not only centrally located in the county, but it also sits on Beach Boulevard, a major highway in the county that sees more than 90,000 cars a day on it. Now, with the Stanton branch, we can serve all of Orange County from this store,” says Tony Murray, president, who also serves as the American Rental Association (ARA) Region Nine director.

The site of the new branch in Stanton is a used RV dealership. “We purchased the property right at the beginning of COVID when no one knew what would happen. It was risky. We didn’t know what would happen, but it has proven to be just what we needed as it aids in the continued growth of American Rentals. Moving to a primary location that we own in the heart of a metropolitan area of more than 3 million people, with convenient freeway access, allows our fleet to serve more commercial locations,” Murray says, adding that it can help handle the company’s “double-digit growth, year over year.”

Customers have given their approval, Murray notes. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Our customers love the bigger location and the easy access to the highway. It is easier to get here, too. Traffic is bad here. It might be only 10 miles from one of our other stores, but it could be one hour in driving time, depending on the time of the day,” he says.

With the branch in Stanton, American Rentals now boasts three locations. The others are in San Bernadino and Long Beach, which serves as the base of operations.
