Business for most has been busy this spring and summer. I don’t see that slowing down much anytime soon, and that’s great, but we are still dealing with labor shortages, supply chain challenges, rising fuel costs and now interest rate increases, which comes with unique issues of its own. It’s never easy, is it.
There is some help available to us on the labor shortage front through our ARA memberships. I encourage you to take advantage of the ARA Job Portal. ARA members receive five free job postings there, so why not try it out?
The ARA Certified programs are now up and running. The programs include essential training for mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) on the trainer side. The course qualifies graduates to train operators with instruction that satisfies OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Administration) requirements and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) A92 standards. After some online, self-guided training, students then complete a four to five hour live, hands-on training session conducted by an ARA certified master trainer. This is a really sophisticated, interactive and beneficial program that is a must for any rental operation with MEWPs.
