The ARA of Florida helped members prepare for the post-pandemic uptick by hosting an online business management seminar in May delivered by highly recognized and well-received past speakers at The ARA Show™.
On Wednesday, May 12, “Act for Survival, Plan for Revival: Financial Strategies for an Unstable Economy” was presented by Barbara Nuss, CPA, and Steve Abercrombie from Profit Soup.
With ideas and scenarios built around boosting a business’s sales, staffing and cash flow position, Nuss and Abercrombie’s session was designed to place businesses on the path to financial success after the challenges of 2020. The pair touched on repaying debt and building cash reserves; building your “A” team; diversifying your customer base; and cultivating your relationship with your bank.
The strategies shared resonated with participants who were looking to move forward in 2021 and beyond by becoming more resourceful, nimble and innovative.
“The webinar was informative and the collaboration between both speakers was flawless. I am looking forward to part two in July,” says Carol Fontanez, rental manager, strategic sourcing and supply chain, Jamco, Sanford, Fla., and an ARA of Florida board member, referencing the planned follow-up session with Nuss and Abercrombie at the state chapter’s Summer Getaway event at Clearwater Beach, July 30-Aug. 1.
