David Henderson

David Henderson, 82, Haslett, Mich., died Oct. 31, 2022. After serving in the military and then working as a tax accountant for Goodyear Corp. and its subsidiary, Motor Wheel Corp., he opened AC & E Rentals in Grand Ledge, Mich., in 1986. The business later expanded with locations in Okemos and Redford, Mich., with the Redford branch closing in 2000.

Henderson was a longtime supporter of the ARA of Michigan. He first became involved in 1993 and served in various capacities until 1998, when he was named president. In 1999, he received the Outstanding State Leadership Award. He stayed active on the state chapter board until 2018.

He was an avid Michigan State University (MSU) Spartans fan, a lifelong boxing enthusiast and proud of his Golden Gloves boxing days.

Henderson is survived by his wife, Jayne Henderson; son, Ryan (Angelica) Henderson; daughter, Erin Henderson; grandchildren, Antonio and Shannon Henderson and Micaela Forcum; brother, Ron Henderson; and sister, Linda Aiken.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
