Ditch Witch; Felling Trailers; Link-Belt Cranes; Western Global

Ditch Witch, Perry, Okla.: Kevin Smith has been named the general manager of the recently formed Ditch Witch Division of The Toro Company. Smith is tasked with bringing the business of Ditch Witch, Subsite® Electronics, American Augers® and Trencor® into one organization whose products will be sold primarily through the worldwide Ditch Witch dealer channel. Dennis Wierzbicki, the previous president of Ditch Witch, has retired. Smith spent 20 years in the Ditch Witch organization gaining experience in manufacturing, product development, research and development, sales, market development, product management and in direct sales with the dealer organization. Prior to that, he served as president of MTI® Equipment for seven years. In 2015, he began leading the Subsite Electronics and HammerHead® businesses.

Felling Trailers, Sauk Centre, Minn.: Roger Magers, Felling Trailers southwestern regional sales manager, has retired. Magers has spent more than 45 years in the equipment industry with about 30 of those years selling trailers. Magers joined the Felling team in February of 2009 as the western U.S. regional sales manager. He provided dealer support for 11 states spanning from Montana to New Mexico to California to Washington. In the fall of 2019, Magers reduced his coverage area to the southwestern United States to be able to focus on the growing dealer base in the New Mexico, Arizona, California and Nevada regions.

Link-Belt Cranes, Lexington, Ky.: Sandy Hammonds, chief financial officer and vice president of finance for Link-Belt Cranes, was elected to the company's board of directors during the January 2021 board meeting. Sumitomo Heavy Industry (SHI) representatives attended the meeting by video conference. Link-Belt Cranes is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SHI. Hammonds began her Link-Belt career as a cost accountant in 1988 and progressed through all levels of accounting and finance departments.

Western Global, Troy, Mich.: Jayna Rodgers has been named central U.S. regional sales manager, responsible for building the territory while bringing in new business and maintaining current clientele in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. Rodgers has 16 years of industry experience including five years as a senior fuel consultant for 4Refuel, a refueling service company. Prior to that, Rodgers owned a construction company in Houston where she managed the day-to-day fuel needs of the company.
