Lowe’s expands tool rental program

Lowe’s, Mooresville, N.C., is continuing a national roll-out of its tool rental program by expanding it to four additional stores in the Charlotte, N.C., area.

The new Lowe’s Tool Rental locations include:

• Rock Hill, S.C.
• Gastonia, N.C.
• Concord, N.C.
• Fort Mill, S.C.

The Rock Hill store officially opened its tool rental space on Dec. 3, while Fort Mill, Gastonia and SW Concord will unveil the program over the coming weeks and early 2021.

The first Lowe’s Tool Rental launched in August 2020 and currently operates at the South End store in Charlotte.

Each Lowe’s Tool Rental department features:

• A brand-new fleet of commercial-grade equipment, including brands like Husqvarna, Bosch and Metabo HPT.
• A broad assortment of drain cleaning, restoration, sanitation and concrete tools, in addition to merchandise to accompany rental tools, such as protective equipment and cleaning solutions, for purchase.
• Technology including check-in and check-out process with an online reservation option, in-store self-service kiosks, and digital documents that can be signed and viewed from a mobile device.
• A team of associates who can provide hands-on product demonstrations and instructions.
• Approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of space with a fully equipped mechanic shop to service to maintain the equipment, provisions for on-site cleaning, and product demo areas for the customers.
