A program focused on health and safety while operating in a new business environment.
Turning rental staff into rental professionals.
ARA Insurance is the leading insurer of American Rental Association members. Because rental is our only business, we have a stake in your success.
ARA offers many opportunities to network and learn from your peers
ARA supports the equipment and event rental community through initiatives that serve the industry.
With ARA Rentalytics, ARA members can access macroeconomic data and information about what's happening with revenue and drivers of rental revenue.
Each issue is packed with information, including risk management advice, store profiles, business management stories, products and much more.
Safety is a priority when it comes to rental equipment. To mitigate risks/errors it is important to ensure that you, your staff, and your customers have the knowledge, ability, and confidence to operate the equipment.
ARA created the MEWP Train-the-Trainer program and MEWP Operator Training program to satisfy OSHA requirements and ANSI standards.
Both of ARA’s MEWP training programs are made up of a self-paced online portion and, an in-person hands-on portion.

As part of both programs, participants will complete the hands-on, in-person training portion in addition to the online, self-paced portion. Below are the available in-person trainings for the MEWP Train-the-Trainer programs led by an ARA instructor. MEWP Operator trainings are led by trained rental professionals. Contact your rental employer or a facility near you using RentalHQ.com to determine availability.
Did you know your State Association can also be a host for these trainings? Check here for these opportunities. Don’t see a training event near you? Register to have an ARA instructor to host an in-person training at your facility.
ARA promotes safety and best practices ...
ARA promotes safety and best practices in all our education and training resources. Everyone who operates a MEWP at your facility is required to be trained according to federal regulations. At most rental companies, this would include service technicians and mechanics who repair and maintain MEWPS and delivery drivers who transport them.
We also recommend sales representatives take the training (even if they don’t operate them personally) so they can be better prepared to recommend units that meet the needs and safety requirements of different jobsites.
