How to Contest the Slate
To submit a valid petition to contest the slate, the following requirements must be met:
- Qualified Nominee
The proposed nominee must meet the eligibility requirements for the position and demonstrate the leadership, experience, and commitment expected of ARA Board members. Please refer to the Board Roles & Responsibilities document for detailed qualifications and expectations. - Complete Petition Submission
Provide all required nominee information and confirm the candidate meets established eligibility criteria. - Member Support Threshold
The petition must be supported by at least 2% of ARA membership. - Verification of Threshold
To confirm the exact number of members required for a specific seat, please contact ARA directly.

Members may submit a petition to propose an alternative nominee to the 2027 Board of Directors slate.
