A regular customer of a rental store needed chairs for their annual event. Arrangements were made, contracts were signed, and a delivery date and time were agreed on.
At the time of the delivery, two sets of two employees were tasked with dropping off the chairs. The first group arrived and were unloading their chairs when the second truck arrived. The employees in the second group decided to try and get done before the group that arrived first.
The first group unloaded all the chairs from their truck and carefully rolled the carts down the sidewalk and into the building where they placed the chairs in the designated location. The rental store employees in the second group removed the chair carts from their truck and took off at a fast pace down the sidewalk. One of the carts got away from them and crashed into the planter outside the entrance. Chairs flew off the cart and the planter shattered.
Remind your employees to practice safety every time.
