Deadline to apply for $128,500 in scholarships is March 7

Free money is on the table to help you achieve a career in rental

Employees in a rental business and/or a manufacturer/supplier operation; immediate family members (spouse, daughter or son) of the rental business owner; and American Rental Association (ARA) student members pursuing a higher education program that supports a career in the equipment and event rental industry may apply for:

• ARA Foundation Trade School Scholarships

• ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

• ARA Foundation Graduate Scholarships

• ARA Foundation ARA Student Member Scholarships

• Affiliate program scholarships

Recipients from last year who are pursuing rental-related careers say the scholarship made a big difference.

“The ARA Foundation’s strive for a more advanced and progressive rental community means so much to me as a future business major and eventual member of the rental community. I want to not only see the growth, but also be part of it. The scholarships will help me achieve the educational opportunities and experiences I need to make that impact,” says Alexis Wormser, Barry’s Let’s Rent It, Novi, Mich., who received an ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship and an ARA of Michigan scholarship for a total
of $4,500.

“Going into my senior year in mechanical engineering, this scholarship helps in alleviating some of the burden of these last two semesters. As I approach my senior project while preparing to graduate, the generosity of ARA is not lost on this student,” says Mark DeLeon Jr., PMT Forklift Corp., West Babylon, N.Y., who received an ARA of New York Scholarship worth $1,250.

“I’m grateful to have received the ARA Foundation scholarship. It means a lot to me because it will help me offset the out-of-state tuition at the University of Michigan. I’m also grateful to the ARA of Florida board for the ARA of Florida scholarship because it has given me additional money to offset tuition. The rental association means a lot to me as I look to become a third-generation event rental owner,” says Ryan Wechsler, Atlas Event Rental, Boynton Beach, Fla., who received an ARA Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship and an ARA of Florida scholarship for a total of $4,500.
