All gassed up

A woman went into a florist to order some flowers for her friend. The florist was just across the parking lot from a rental store. As she was pulling forward to exit her parking space, another car drove past her very quickly and startled her. She pressed her foot quickly on the brake to stop from hitting the passing car.

Unfortunately, she pressed on the gas pedal rather than the brake and ran into the side of the rental store’s building. She wasn’t injured and the damage wasn’t too bad. The woman has reported the accident to her insurance company and the owner of the rental store is hopeful her insurance will pay for the damages to his building. He notified his insurance company just in case they need to step in on behalf of the rental store.

If the rental store’s parking lot had concrete barriers or parking block stops, she may not have hit the building at all.
