Purpose and Background
The main purpose of the ARA Government Affairs program is to develop and make available the set of resources to be used to provide effective representation for our members and industry within the political process.
ARA's core purpose, as stated in its mission statement, is "to promote the success of our members and advance the growth of the equipment rental industry." The Government Affairs division drives toward this core purpose through the successful implementation of its goal, to "be the recognized voice and advocate in government affairs on issues of importance to the equipment rental industry." We strive to accomplish this through strategies at the federal and state levels.
ARA encourages member advocacy at the federal, state and local levels. Whether it's through issue advocacy at ARA's Annual National Legislative Caucus, membership in ARA's Political Action Committee, or advocating in your state's capitol, ARA has strategies, resources and experience to help you make a difference with those whose decisions directly impact your bottom line.
