The Certified Event Rental Professional (CERP) program is offered exclusively by ARA for event rental professionals. The program is available to all ARA members that have been employed at an event rental store for at least six months. This in-depth, online program is designed to strengthen your knowledge, expertise, and commitment to the industry and your customers. This redesigned 23-course program focuses on front-of-the-house topics: fundamentals of the industry, customer service, sales, tabletop, inventory, and marketing.

Event rental professionals that have worked in an event rental store for at least six months and are committed to gaining a competitive edge and learning industry best practices.

The program is available to all ARA members that have been employed at an event rental store for at least six months.

Program overview

This redesigned 23-course program focuses on front-of-the-house topics: fundamentals of the industry, customer service, sales, tabletop, inventory, and marketing. Students must complete all 23 courses by successfully completing a quiz at the end of each course and passing with an 80%.

Recertification

To recertify, you will need to earn 35 professional credits within a 5-year timeframe, complete the application and pay the recertification fee. See specific instructions in the FAQ section of this page.

CERP Marketing

When you become a CERP graduate, you will be sent marketing materials designed to help you raise awareness of your designation among your customers and potential customers.     The CERP program must be completed in 12 months. The program consists of 23 courses that will take approximately 20 hours to complete. Students must complete all 23 courses by successfully completing a quiz at the end of each course and passing with an 80%.

    • Click on the ARA Certified square in the upper left corner of the RentalU homepage.
    • Click on the CERP 5 Year Recertification e-learning module.
    • Complete the checkout process.
    • Find the recertification module in your My Courses section in RentalU.
    • Follow the instructions and upload your recertification form.

    Note: The CERP 5 Year Recertification module must be purchased by the person needing recertification, so it is tied to their specific RentalU account.
