CMG Ventures acquires TCS Event Rentals and Piedmont Portables

CMG Ventures, parent company of Durham, N.C.-based Best Rent‐All and Best Tents & Events, has acquired TCS Event Rentals and Piedmont Portables, both based in Burlington, N.C.

For more than 37 years, TCS Event Rentals has been a resource for rental tables, chairs, staging, tenting and more for universities, organizations and businesses across the eastern United States. The company’s list of clients ranges from the NBA to the Boy Scouts of America. TCS Event Rentals’ equipment and staff have served events such as the G8 Summit, the WWII Memorial Dedication in Washington, D.C., and the NFL Hall of Fame, and its projects have spanned across cities from Chicago to Miami, New York and New Orleans.

Piedmont Portables has provided portable restroom rentals to construction companies and event managers throughout North Carolina.

Kim Taylor, CERP, has been promoted to CEO of TCS Event Rentals and Piedmont Portables.

Taylor was previously the chief operations officer of the TES Group, parent company of TCS Event Rentals and Piedmont Portables. She has more than 18 years of experience in the special events rental industry, is a Certified Event Rental Professional (CERP) through the American Rental Association (ARA) and serves as vice president on the ARA of North Carolina board of directors. She and her husband, Greg, live in southern Alamance County, and have three daughters and three sons.

The sellers were represented in the transaction by John Haener from Vendo Rental Solutions.
