Trystar acquires Controlled Power Co.

Trystar, Faribault, Minn., has acquired Controlled Power Co. (CPC), Troy, Mich., to complement its current offering of emergency and temporary power solutions while adding power conditioning and conversion equipment. With the acquisition of CPC, Trystar expands its portable and permanent power distribution lineup to include power inverters for emergency lighting, high efficiency transformers, power conditioning and battery backup equipment for sensitive electronics and critical applications. It also adds industrial DC power (rectifier) solutions to its product portfolio.

“The acquisition of CPC broadens our overall portfolio of power solutions,” said AJ Smith, Trystar CEO. “Adding inverters, rectifiers, high efficiency transformers and power conditioning as well as UPS systems to our robust portfolio of power distribution equipment enables us to offer existing and new customers an even broader range of solutions.”
