Learn how to strengthen leadership and culture

The ARA Show™ 2021 will kick off with a day of education sessions on Sunday, Oct. 17, at Resorts World, a brand-new property near the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The education sessions — sponsored by Ditch Witch — will offer content on a variety of topics for rental industry professionals at every level.

The sessions will be categorized into four tracks:

• Business management
• Leadership and culture
• Technology and human resources
• Event — an education track in collaboration with Manufacturers and Tent Renters Association (MATRA)

Each session is rental-specific and features professional speakers, industry experts and rental peers. Below are the sessions included in the leadership and culture track:

• 8:30 – 9:45 a.m.: Communicating Trust: Strategies for Rental Professionals. Pamela Barnum, a former undercover police officer and prosecuting attorney will give you strategies you can implement immediately to negotiate with ease, influence with trust and detect deception with confidence.
• 10 – 11:15 a.m.: YOU! Super Hero! Super Star! Super Exhausted! – How to Effectively Help Others Without Burning Out. During this Women in Rental education session, Linda Larsen will discuss doable strategies to bring more focus, mental acuity, good health and happiness in your life. 
• 1:15 – 2:30 p.m.: Bouncing Forward: How to Leverage the Stress of Uncertainty. Adam Markel will discuss how to leverage the stress of uncertainty and change to build long-term growth.  
• 2:45 – 4 p.m.: G.R.I.P.E. – The 5 Reasons People Complain and How to Get Them to Stop. Will Bowen will discuss the inefficiencies of complaining and its effect on your business.
