Help ARA help you

Jan. 24, 2021

The American Rental Association (ARA) has launched a survey asking members to provide information about equipment buying intentions for 2021.

“The relationship between manufacturers and rental operators is a major factor in the success of our industry and it is vital that manufacturers have the ability to project upcoming sales to better align staffing and resources to meet needs in a timely manner,” says Steve Mau, president, Brainerd General Rental, Baxter, Minn., and ARA’s chair of the construction shared interest group (SIG).

“As rental operators, we benefit from shorter lead times, better service and potentially lower prices. Our manufacturer members benefit by being more efficient, helping them to control costs, which keeps us competitive,” Mau says. “With that in mind, I urge our members to complete the survey.”

Tom Doyle, ARA vice president for program development, also stresses the need to have as many rental companies participate as possible, adding that “all survey responses are confidential and only aggregate percentages will be shared. ARA thanks you for your time in completing this short and member-requested survey.”

An email with a link to the eight-minute survey was sent last week to ARA members who rent construction equipment. If you missed it, watch your email inbox on Tuesday, Jan. 26, for a new email. ARA is asking that members complete the survey by Jan. 29.
