Hello, American Rental Association (ARA) Region Eight members.
As we move into the spring, there are some things that continue to haunt us: the supply chain tie-ups, lack of labor and cost increases. There are, however, some positives. I believe the construction market will continue to stay strong for the next several years, which will benefit those of us in the equipment segment. On the event rental side, I’m told by a few party and event owners in our region that bookings continue to be “off the charts.” That’s great momentum as we head into the new year.
The monkey wrench in the operation for all of us will be labor and increasing interest rates — still not a deal breaker, but a difference, for sure.
We as a rental community continue to grow and strengthen across the country. Those who decide to join our elite team will benefit from all ARA has to offer. One exciting item on the table for those looking to build a career in our industry are the $128,500 in scholarships that are available through the ARA Foundation for the 2022-2023 school year. That’s an incredible opportunity for anyone planning to attend school in the fall. If you know any students who expect to make rental their career, urge them to apply for the scholarships before the March 7 deadline.
I wish all of you a healthy and prosperous year. Feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
