Josh Bogucki, safety director, Black Diamond Equipment Rental, Uniontown, Pa., has joined the ARA of Pennsylvania board of directors.
Bogucki’s involvement in the equipment rental industry began in 2019 while he was a college student enrolled at Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa. “I completed two hands-on internships with Black Diamond Equipment Rental while obtaining a bachelor’s degree in safety management,” Bogucki says.
Bogucki joined the ARA of Pennsylvania board of directors to fill a vacant seat at the invitation of industry colleague Tony Tye, project manager, InTempo Software, Springfield, Mass., who also serves on the board.
The opportunity to join his American Rental Association (ARA) state chapter leadership team fit right in with Bogucki’s interests in volunteerism and professional development.
“I’ve always been one to stay involved,” he says. “I often volunteer in fundraising events for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as well as Colby’s Stars Foundation — a Pennsylvania-based organization that serves families who have children suffering from various forms of cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. It’s too soon for me to have developed any specific goals for my time on the ARA of Pennsylvania board, but I see this as a great opportunity to get involved within the rental industry and to build a bigger network of industry professionals.”
Bogucki’s employer, Black Diamond Equipment Rental, provides heavy-duty equipment rentals and service. The company’s equipment is used in a variety of applications, from oil and gas construction and well site preparation to heavy highway construction and more.
