In June, members gathered at three of the state’s beautiful ballpark venues for fun and industry camaraderie with the ARA of North Carolina’s “Baseball Across North Carolina.”
“Our board planned outings at three ballparks across the state, hoping to give our members a fun event that offered networking and social time together. With the craziness of the season for both industry segments,
we thought an opportunity to network and relax was needed. These games provided just that,” says Shannon Thomas, CERP, owner, Creative Solutions Special Events, Belmont, N.C., and ARA of North Carolina board chair.
First up was the Durham Bulls vs. Louisville Bats matchup at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C., on June 16 that saw the Bulls wallop the Bats with a score of 10-2.
Then, the action turned to the southwest where, on June 19, ARA of North Carolina members gathered to take in a Charlotte Knights ballgame at Truist Field in Charlotte, N.C. This game turned out to be a 13-11 Knights victory over the visiting Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
The last stop on “Baseball Across North Carolina” was the June 28 contest between the Asheville Tourists and the Bowling Green Hot Rods at McCormick Field in Asheville, N.C., where the Tourists fell to the Hot Rods 14-5.
