The ARA Show: Get ready for new unique learning opportunities

The ARA Show offers two days of education and so much more

The ARA Show™ is heading back to Orlando Feb. 11-15, 2023. The show will kick off with a full day of brand-new education opportunities for both the equipment and event segments of the rental industry on Saturday, Feb. 11.

On the equipment side, The Future of Equipment Rental — sponsored by Fame RentalPoint of RentalQuipli and Western Global — will include education sessions featuring industry experts who will cover best practices, technologies and innovative ideas to propel your business forward.

The day will kick off with a networking breakfast followed by the keynote session featuring Steve Jones of Dodge Construction Data & Analytics and Dale Asplund of United Rentals. The keynote will be followed by a day of learning which will include two panels — one with contractors and another with rental companies. After a networking lunch, attendees will be able to choose from the following breakout sessions:

  • Rental Operations Breakout Session 1: The Future of the Construction Jobsite and the Impact on Rental
  • Rental Fleet Breakout Session 1: Rental Fleet Management Panel
  • Rental Operations Breakout Session 2: Future of Rental Operations Panel and Interactive Workshop
  • Rental Fleet Breakout Session 2: Rental Fleet Management Workshop

The Future of Equipment Rental’s Closing Cocktail Reception will provide a recap of the day’s sessions and give attendees another chance to network with their peers.

Also on Saturday, Feb. 11, those on the event side will have their own unique educational opportunity — EventsU. The day will kick off with a welcome breakfast — sponsored by Aztec Tents — followed by education sessions led by nationally known experts and industry veterans. These sessions — sponsored by Easy RFID ProSeitz, The Fresher Co.; and TopTec Event Tents — will cover topics such as creating efficient warehouse operations, customer service, event profitability, creating partnerships with event planners, tabletop trends and more.

EventsU also will include a lunch session “Stump the Event Sales Guru” with Alan Berg — sponsored by B&R Innovations/Block and Roll. Attendees also will have the opportunity to attend the EventsU Reception — sponsored by Central Tent and Palmer Snyder Furniture — held that evening on a rooftop terrace outside the convention center.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, both sides of the rental industry will gather for a full day of education sessions — sponsored by Ditch Witch. The sessions will cover unique topics, such as:

  • Creating happy, motivated and engaged employees.
  • Developing an inclusive workplace culture.
  • How to recruit and retain Gen Z and millennials.
  • Learning from Chick-fil-A’s leadership tactics.
  • Navigating mergers and acquisitions.
  • Preparing to sell your business.
  • Succession planning.

Beyond the numerous educational opportunities, show attendees also will have the chance to attend the Keynote Session presented by Daymond John — CEO and founder of FUBU, a global lifestyle brand, star of ABC’s “Shark Tank” and more — on Monday, Feb. 13. This event, sponsored by ARA Insurance, will be followed by the opening of the three-day trade show featuring hundreds of exhibitors.

The ARA Show also includes several networking events, giving those in attendance the unique opportunity to meet others in the industry from around the country and across the globe.
