Eligibility for Nomination

Any individual associated with the equipment rental industry whose significant contribution changed the industry in a positive manner is eligible for consideration. This includes consultants, speakers, publishers, owners of rental businesses or rental equipment businesses currently employed or retired, or employees of related affiliates either living or deceased who impacted the equipment rental industry. The members of the Volunteer Recognition Awards Committee and the ARA Board of Directors during the year of nomination and induction are ineligible.

To Nominate an Individual

Nominations for the Rental Hall of Fame can be made either online or by downloading a form to complete and then fax or mail:

Nominations are accepted year-round, but must be received by Aug. 1 to be considered for induction at The Rental Show the following year.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be reviewed based on the information presented on the nomination form. The more complete the information, the greater assistance provided to the committee for evaluation.

Nomination Process

Nominations for qualified individuals will be reviewed and rated by the Volunteer Recognition Awards Committee, which is led by the ARA chairman of the board. Committee members are appointed by the ARA president and include representatives from past directors, the ARA Foundation board, associate members and an independent manufacturer representative. The ARA CEO serves on the committee in an advisory capacity and also appoints an ARA staff member to the committee.

Selection Process

Candidates are evaluated based on eligibility to meet the Hall of Fame criteria. The committee’s decision shall be presented to the ARA board of directors for endorsement. Each inductee shall be notified of their selection by the ARA chairman of the board.

Induction Ceremony

The ARA chairman of the board shall host the induction ceremony during the keynote session of The Rental Show.

Recognition

Inductees will be formally recognized at The Rental Show and featured in news releases, ARA publications and on the ARA website. In addition, the inductee’s name will be part of a permanent display at the ARA headquarters. Inductees will be presented with a Crystal Signature Collection statue, a graceful representation of upward movement reflective of the inductee’s influence on the industry.
